Copeman Hart at Manchester Cathedral

As many are aware, Manchester Cathedral is having a new pipe organ built by Kenneth Tickell & Company which is due for completion in early 2017. Whilst the pipe organ has been out of action, a digital instrument from another vendor has been in use which has more or less coped for the normal small day to day services. However, with a very important service, at which Royalty will be present, taking place in July where the Cathedral will be totally full, it was clear to the organist Christopher Stokes that another solution needed to be found.

We are delighted to say that we have installed our touring Copeman Hart instrument especially for this event and that it will be specially voiced for the occasion by Professor Ian Tracey and Dr Keith Harrington. Having been used in many large Cathedrals including for example Liverpool, Exeter & Chester we know it will be more than capable of providing a suitable accompaniment for this event. Due to space limitations, our console and all speakers were specially lifted on to the rood screen for the occasion.
