Sounds of the Summer Concert in Mixbury on Saturday 7th May

A very limited number of tickets are available for our popular annual ‘Sounds of the Summer’ event to be held at our Mixbury showroom on Saturday 7th May 2016, when Professor Ian Tracey will be playing once again. If you would like to come and haven’t already ordered your ticket, I suggest you do so now to avoid potential disappointment. The event starts at 10:30 and will end at 15:30.

I anticipate a draft programme from Ian shortly. He will be playing a range of Makin, Copeman Hart and Johannus instruments, and I expect this to be the first public UK outing for the much talked about Johannus LiVE instrument. In addition, I hope and expect to be formally making a very exciting announcement sometime between now and then, which will make this year’s event even more special.

Tickets are £10 per person; all of which goes to the Liverpool Cathedral organ appeal. As I am sure you will agree, this is tremendous value for money for such an event. As in previous years food and drink will be provided free of charge during the day. If you would like to request tickets, and in order to help the day’s events run smoothly, payment in advance would be appreciated. Please make your cheque payable to ‘Liverpool Cathedral Foundation (Organ Appeal)’ and send it to Makin Organs Ltd, Sovereign House, 30 Manchester Road, Shaw OL2 7DE. Your personalised ticket(s) will be sent out a couple of weeks before the event.

Many of our customers and visitors to our events ‘gift aid’ the money for ticket payments and other donations. There is no cost in doing so to you, but the appeal will gain an extra 25% from the Government if you are a basic rate tax payer. Please simply request a gift aid declaration form from us.

During the intervals, our increasing selection of sheet organ music from various publishers, including of course our own, will be available for purchase, as will OrganMaster shoes and Priory Records CDs, DVDs and Blu-Ray disks for both choral and organ music with the entire range at unbelievable prices! Jan and Bill Wolfenden will be selling items from their Liverpool Cathedral organ supporters stall.
